Practice Nurse
The practice Nurse assists the doctor in the surgery and is qualified to carry out:
- Immunisations (children and adults)
- Blood pressure checks & chronic disease clinics.
- Cervical smears
- Advice on Diet, Weight & Smoking
- New registration, health promotion, and NHS health checks.
District Nurse, ICM Team, Community Respiratory Nurse and Rapid Response Team
The nurses within this team work closely with the practice as a multidisciplinary team to offer comprehensive care to patients with Long Term Conditions.
Health Visitor
The Health Visitor gives advice relating to growth, feeding, and behavioural problems and helps in child health surveillance.
Community Midwife
The Community Midwife looks after pregnant mothers in the antenatal clinic and visits all women at home after the birth of the baby.
Social prescriber
Social prescribing, also sometimes known as community referral, is a means of enabling health professionals to refer people to a range of local, non-clinical services

The receptionists are your link to the doctors and nurses and as such play an important part in ensuring that you receive the best possible service.
They are there to help you, the more information you can give with regard to your needs the better they will be able to do this.
The administrative staff are responsible for the many tasks that need to be carried out on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
